How to reset the sm password in V3x (the old platform)

Some of our customers are still using V3x which is two years old. For some reason, the sm(system manager) account is locked, you want to unlock it. In V3x, there is no safe mode, instead you have to use a dedicated utility to do the job.

Download the utility, unzip it and copy the exe to the machine where V3x is installed.

Open Command Prompt (Windows Prompt);

Navigate to the folder where you copy the utility to;

Run it without any parameter to see the help which is quite simple to understand.

Generally, you use the one to unlock

DasUtil -m -w newpassword
