Be cautious on changing product properties.

One of our customers reported that his GridID token was gone after he un-assigned it from a user.

First the token 10051907 was assigned to a domain user

he tried to un-assign it.

After that, the token 10051907 was GONE!

First we tried the same pattern in our LAB, it was fine, so we thought it was not a bug. Then we guessed his DMC login user might not have the privilege to view the token, so we suggested he tried the sa - the super administrator. Unfortunately it was still same.

Finally, we realized that they must changed the GridID product properties.

Later he admitted that his colleague changed the Form Factor from Hardware to Software!

With software token, un-assignment will remove the token itself. That is by design in our system. Please be cautious on changing product properties.
